2022

In 2022, I worked on creating some illustrations for the launch of a well-known mental health start-up. By adopting their illustrative style and having continuous access to their stock images, I crafted new visuals for hypothetical articles focusing on mental health.

In recent years, several online platforms have emerged, offering advice on overcoming mental struggles, depression, or providing guidance on ADHD and bipolar disorder. Often driven by kindness and a genuine interest in helping others, with the goal of "democratizing and destigmatizing mental health for all," these services, when interpreted freely, run the risk of making us identify with illnesses we don't have, leading to inaccurate self-diagnoses or providing pseudoscientific information.

In a society that appears to increasingly need therapists but often lacks the financial means to afford them, these websites and newsletters step in to fill the void. Alone (and often in incognito mode), we attempt to solve our problems by interacting with blogs, video or instagram posts that leave us feeling abandoned to ourselves.
