In collaboration with mathematicians Franco Cardin and Mario Putti, a conference was organized to explore the mathematical functioning of memory and how it leaves traces of its passage in the synapses. During the event, there was also an analysis of how Stefano Stoppa’s artistic process achieves similar results, albeit through a completely different research approach. The exhibition Tutto ciò che ricordavo, rifacendolo, l’ho dimenticato (Everything I remembered, I forgot when I redid it) which exhibited the rembered environments thus finds a curious and fascinating explanation from both a mathematical and neurological perspective.
